Information About This Unit
Description of Learning Unit:
This unit provides an introduction to different types of energy, with a focus on light and sound. Fun, hands-on experiments will help your child understand light and sound energy. Online activities and printables are included to reinforce the concepts. This unit is designed to last one week, depending on how often you teach science.

- Two paper clips
- One long string

- Rubber band (to fit over bowl)

- Stereo with speakers or portable radio/CD player
- Brick or metal building
- Baking pan
- Different colors of felt (black, white and green are a good mix)
- Snow (or ice shavings or crushed ice)
- Sunshine
- Water
- White paper
- Sunlight
