Week 6 The "ed" Ending
Information About This Unit
This unit introduces past tense words ending in "ed" and the rule for doubling consonants when adding "ed" to words. Daily practice will include listening to the sounds, saying the sounds, or writing the sounds using fun hands-on activities, games and worksheets. In addition, your child will be reading a poem that uses past tense verbs in the text. Spelling words for the week are: baked, jumped, bumped, turned, fixed, tricked, trapped, stopped, and tagged. This unit is designed to last one week, depending on how you teach reading and phonics.
