Description of Learning Unit:
In this unit, you will read "The Lion and the Mouse" with your child. By asking questions about the story, writing a fable, learning about helping others, and putting on a puppet show, your child will understand the story and have fun. You will also talk about the setting of a story and relate the concept to this and other fables. Your child will also learn the sight words "then," "think," "walk,"and "were." This unit is designed to last one week, depending on how often you teach language arts.
