Journals are a great way to express your feelings and talk about things you are interested in.
In this activity, you will pretend to be a buffalo hunter. You will make an entry in your journal about your day out on the plains hunting buffalo. This entry can be five to seven sentences long. Use your five senses to help you write your entry. Make sure you write a date at the top of the entry page (it would be a date from the 1800"s). You might want to include what the weather was like, your location, how many buffalo you saw that day, how easy or hard it was to capture them, how the dust affected you, what kind of clothes you were wearing, what you took to eat, if you saw any Indians...
